Rents rose by 2.3% in the first quarter of 2010 to £839 pcm. Property portal FindaProperty.com found this increase in rental growths, which is now 3 months in a row.
With rents now an average of £19 per month higher for Q1, they are 1.9% higher compared to last year.
It seems that a majority of locations have seen rises; the highest is Yorkshire which went up by 3.4% to £553 per month.
The rise in rental prices may be directly linked to the fall in the number of property investments lets available on the market. This, with increased demands for rental properties, means that property investors all over the UK are now seeing growths in rental values.
London has also seen decent growths…
Rents have risen by 2.6% to £1,729 which is £44 pcm more than in Q1. Compared to 2009, London investments saw a rise of 6.4% even though the number of rental properties fell by 4%.
