5 tips to attract tennants

There is a high demand for rental properties but first impressions still count when it comes to viewings.

A poor looking property will still be difficult attract potential renters…

To ensure that your property has the appeal to draw in tenants, follow these simple tips:
1. Boost your kerb appeal

The first thing is the front garden, if it isn’t in a very good condition it could influence the remainder of their viewing.

Make sure your grass is freshly cut, your garden is weeded, the windows are clean, the walls are freshly painted.

2. Establish a backdrop

An easily to manage garden will appeal to tenants who won’t have time to maintain a garden.

However, by pruning the plants, weeding the lawn and keeping your paths clean you can attract gardeners who will recognise the potential.

The lawn is not just an area that needs maintaining. An old wall or fence will make your property to families with children or pets.

3. Remove clutter

Allow the potential tenant to imagine themselves living there. Include a few good condition furnishings – a dining table, curtains, vases and even a settee and this can help them to imagine their own furniture in its place.

4. Correct imperfections

To save on large potential repair costs in the future, and make your property let look well-maintained, spend some time repairing any faults.

5. Clean, clean, clean

We’re all perfectionists aren’t we? For this reason, make sure the whole property is clean and fresh before every viewing.
